Criminological lexicon is a specialized layer of language used in scientific and practical fields related to legislation, law enforcement, and the study of criminality. This article is dedicated to analyzing the semantic, morphological, and stylistic features of the criminological lexicon. The study identifies the influence of borrowed words from English, Turkish, Persian, Arabic, and Russian on the formation of this terminology. It also discusses the importance of contextual and pragmatic factors in the use of the lexicon. Special attention is given to the systematization, etymology, and functional features of lexical units found in Uzbek legal documents and academic texts. The article is intended for philologists, criminologists, and specialists in lexicography, and it contributes to the formation, development, and adaptation of Uzbek and English criminal terminology to the needs of society.
