This article comprehensively covers the theoretical and practical aspects of the study of folklore in Uzbek literature. The formation of scientific concepts of folklorism in the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century was analyzed based on a historical-dialectical approach. The terminological clarification of folklorism by Bakhodir Sarimsakov, the systematization of poetic-aesthetic criteria by Laylo Sharipova, and the results of inter-genre analysis by researchers such as Saodat Mamayusupova, Dilfuza Hajiyeva, F. Kurbanova, and S. Atajanov have been consistently studied within the framework of modern folklorism studies. The study assessed the artistic reinterpretation of folklore elements - motifs, images, archetypes, rituals, proverbs, sayings, folk speech structures - in the process of their transition to written literature as creative synthesis, poetic modification, and rhythmic-compositional renewal. According to the results, it was concluded that folklorism was formed in Uzbek literature not only as an element of artistic decoration, but also as a central artistic category that renews national artistic thinking and combines the folk spirit with the modern poetic system.
