This article is devoted to the study of the processes of formation, translation methods and linguistic features of computer terminology in modern Chinese. The results show that the semantic translation method prevails in the formation of computer terminology in Chinese, which is closely related to the hieroglyphic structure and cultural characteristics of the Chinese language. The study contributes to understanding the relationship between global trends in the formation of modern technological terminology and the specific characteristics of national languages.
