METHODS OF TEACHING RUSSIAN LANGUAGE STYLISTICS IN A BILINGUAL CLASSROOM: EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH UZBEK-SPEAKING STUDENT GROUPS

Abstract

The article examines the specific features of teaching Russian language stylistics in bilingual classrooms with Uzbek as the primary language of instruction. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to develop functional stylistic competence among students who experience challenges caused by cross-linguistic interference. Based on teaching practice, the study identifies typical difficulties faced by Uzbek-speaking students, including limited vocabulary, transfer of Uzbek syntactic structures into Russian speech, and insufficient understanding of functional styles. The article proposes effective methodological approaches such as contrastive linguistic analysis, working with texts of different styles, stylistic transformations, and modeled communicative situations. The findings show that the integrated use of these methods contributes to the formation of stable skills in stylistically appropriate and grammatically correct Russian speech. The results may be applied in higher education institutions operating in bilingual learning environments.
