This article analyzes the scientific heritage of literary critic Orifjon Ikromov, dedicated to the work of Sadriddin Aynıy and Komil Yashin. The study is devoted to the role of these writers in the formation of national identity and the expression of the ideas of independence in their time. The author pays special attention to Ikromov's methodological approaches, his desire to conduct a deep and holistic analysis of literary texts in a socio-cultural and historical context. Ikromov's criticism reveals the value of the creative heritage of Aini and Yashin, as well as the importance of literary criticism as a means of understanding the era in the consciousness of society.
