CURSE WORDS IN UZBEK FOLKLORE: A LINGUOCULTURAL AND PRAGMATIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

This article analyzes curse words found in Uzbek folklore from linguistic and linguocultural perspectives. The semantic, pragmatic, and figurative features of curses are revealed. Their formation in the collective consciousness, their connection with moral and ethical values, and their functions in speech situations are scientifically explained.
