THE ROLE AND FUNCTIONAL NATURE OF ANTHROPONYMIC UNITS IN THE LEXICAL-SEMANTIC SYSTEM OF LANGUAGE

Orifjon Kilichboyevich Jumayev ,

Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role and functional nature of anthroponymic units within the lexical-semantic system of language. The study examines the nominative, referential, identificational, expressive-emotional, and pragmatic functions of anthroponyms, as well as their interaction with other lexical units in the system.

Special attention is paid to the semantic structure of anthroponyms, including denotative and connotative layers of meaning, processes of semantic expansion, generalization, metaphorization, and metonymic transformation. The stylistic potential of anthroponyms and their role in discourse are also analyzed.
