PRAGMATIC CHARACTERISTICS OF RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL UNITS IN UZBEK ONLINE COMMUNICATION
Mohinur Ernazarova ,Abstract
This article provides a detailed examination of the pragmatic functions of religious and cultural expressions in Uzbek online communication. The study utilized Speech Act Theory, a pragmatic approach, and contemporary social media research. Religious expressions widely used in social networks perform communicative functions such as enhancing politeness, reinforcing solidarity, providing consolation, and mitigating requests. The research material included over 500 posts and comments from Telegram, Instagram, and Facebook. Comparisons with other studies were also conducted. The findings indicate that religious and cultural expressions serve as important pragmatic tools in Uzbek online discourse and contribute to the field of intercultural pragmatics.
