TERMINOLOGY OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL TOURISM IN THE ARABIC LANGUAGE: SEMANTIC AND DISCURSIVE ANALYSIS

Muhammad Yusuf M. Abdurakhmonov ,

Abstract

This article examines the semantic and discursive features of historical and cultural tourism terminology in the Arabic language. The study explores the linguistic nature of tourism terms, their nominative, conceptual, and pragmatic functions, as well as their role within tourism discourse. In addition, key terms related to historical, cultural, religious, archaeological, ethnographic, ethnic, anthropological, and ecological tourism are systematically analyzed, with particular attention to their semantic structure and discursive functions. The findings demonstrate that this terminology serves not only as a means of conveying information but also as a persuasive and communicative tool within tourism discourse.
