The article analyzes the art of quotation drawn from Qur’anic verses and Hadiths in the poetry of the Sufi poet Azimiy, who was active in Kokand during the 18th–19th centuries. Through this analysis, the poet’s artistic mastery and his mystical-religious worldview are revealed.

The study scientifically examines the use of the art of quotation in Azimkhodja Eshon’s divan “Murod ul-Oshiqin” and explores its Sufi-irfan content.

In his poetry, the meanings of Qur’anic verses and Hadiths are skillfully integrated into the poetic text, which ensures a high level of spiritual depth in genres such as na‘t, ghazal, and musaddas.

The art of quotation in the poet’s work appears not only as an artistic embellishment, but also as an important poetic device that conveys spiritual and mystical meanings to the reader.
