ARABIC LITERATURE AND ITS ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL CULTURE

Ali Abdelzaher Abu Amra ,

Abstract

This article discusses the role of Arabic literature in the development of global culture and its contribution to human civilization. Throughout its long history, Arabic literature has served as an important means of transmitting human values and intellectual knowledge and has contributed to strengthening cultural communication among nations. Its influence became particularly evident during the Middle Ages through cultural interaction in Andalusia and Sicily and through the translation movement that transferred many literary and scientific works to Europe. Arabic literature also left a noticeable impact on some European literary traditions, especially in narrative storytelling and certain poetic forms. In the modern era, Arabic literature has developed in terms of artistic forms and themes, and its global presence has increased thanks to translation and cultural exchange. Thus, Arabic literature has become an important part of world literature and has contributed to strengthening cultural dialogue among civilizations and enriching the shared human heritage.
