This article provides information about the prominent Arab linguist Raḍī al-Dīn Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad al-Ṣaghānī, who is well known for his lexicographical works, as well as his scholarly legacy. In his treatises devoted to specific morphological patterns, al-Ṣaghānī systematically compiled rare and morphologically distinctive lexical units of the Arabic language. The scholar holds an important position not only as a linguist but also as a hadith scholar who authored valuable works in this field. While his works on hadith studies have begun to be examined by Uzbek researchers, his linguistic works remain insufficiently studied. Therefore, this article represents one of the initial attempts to explore this aspect of his scholarship.
