THE ROLE OF “KIFAYATU-N-NAHW FI ILMI-L-I’RAB” IN THE ZAMAKHSHARI SCHOOL OF LINGUISTICS: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SUCCESSION AND INDEPENDENCE
Mansur Davletbayevich Jumaniyazov ,Abstract
This research is dedicated to determining the genre characteristics of Ziyovuddin Makkiy Khorazmiy’s work “Kifayatu-n-nahv fi ilmi-l-e’rāb.” Through a comparative analysis with Mahmud Zamakhshariy’s “Unmuzaj” and “Mufassal,” the author demonstrates that this work is an independent scientific source. The study identifies over 50 significant differences in structure, terminology, and approaches to grammatical rules. It substantiates how the work diverges from classical commentary traditions, highlighting the author’s individual scholarly position and his place in Eastern manuscript studies. The research concludes that “Kifayatu-n-nahv” is a systematic, original grammatical treatise with its own methodology, rather than a mere commentary (sharh).
