MORPHOLOGICAL AND SEMANTIC MECHANISMS OF THE FORMATION OF INTERNET TERMS IN MODERN ARABIC

Nodira I. Umarova ,

Abstract

The article examines the mechanisms of the formation of Internet terminology in modern Arabic through the internal word-formation potential of the language. The study analyzes morphological patterns (wazn), affixal derivation, lexicalization, conversion, and substantivization, as well as processes of semantic evolution such as terminologization, metaphorization, and the expansion and narrowing of meaning. Particular attention is paid to the problem of synonymy and the standardization of terms within the Arabic Internet segment.
