STRUCTURAL-SYNTACTIC MODELS OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS WITH SOMATIC COMPONENTS IN THE ARABIC LANGUAGE

Mushtariybegim K. Mamasoliyeva ,

Abstract

This article investigates the structural-syntactic and semantic features of phraseological units with somatic components in the Arabic language. The idioms are analyzed within five main syntactic patterns (genitive, attributive, verbal, nominal, and semi-sentence constructs), and their grammatical functions are revealed. Furthermore, the acquisition of new figurative meanings by somatic units in the language of the modern press, as well as the lexicographic problems associated with recording this process in dictionaries, are highlighted. The results of the research serve to provide a deeper understanding of Arabic phraseology from a linguacultural perspective.

Keywords

Arabic language, somatic lexicon, phraseological units, syntactic models, semantic analysis, lexicography, figurative meaning.
