This article is dedicated to the work titled “Al-Jibal wal-Amkina wal-Miyah” – “Mountains, Places, and Waters” by the great scholar, eminent linguist, mufassir, and polymath Mahmud ibn Umar al-Zamakhshari. It discusses the history of the work's creation, its earliest manuscript copies, as well as its Latin-Arabic scholarly editions and the versions studied and published by Arab scholars.
