This article examines how British and American cultural values are represented in English-language textbooks used in Uzbek universities. Analyzing four widely used textbook series, it argues that such materials build recognizable cultural scripts through repetition and omission, and it proposes ways teachers can foster critical, reflective intercultural learning.
