This article provides a comparative-typological study of color semantics, specifically focusing on the artistic and psychological functions of red and yellow in Uzbek classical poetry and German Romanticism. Drawing upon the poetic works of Nodira, Uvaysiy, Annette von Droste-Hülshoff, and Karoline von Günderrode, the study highlights the aesthetic role of colors in depicting human psychology, passionate love, the sorrow of separation, death, and existential anxiety. By juxtaposing Eastern mystical symbolism with Western Romantic perceptions, the article demonstrates how poetic color imagery serves as a bridge for universal human emotions across cultures.
