THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF IDENTIFYING AND ELIMINATING THE CAUSES AND CONDITIONS OF CRIME IN THE PREVENTION OF CRIME

This article analyzes the role and importance of timely identification and elimination of the causes and conditions of crime as a criminal procedural measure in the prevention of general crime. The author justifies that secondary attention to the procedural action related to the elimination of the causes and conditions of crime becomes a factor that reduces the effectiveness of fighting against crime. It is also emphasized that the information on the cause and circumstances of the crime determined in the criminal proceedings should serve as the primary source of information necessary for the organization of crime prevention.
