THE POLICY OF EXPLOITATION OF UNDERGROUND RESOURCES OF UZBEKISTAN DURING THE SOVIET ERA (1946-1991)

The Soviet era was an important period in the history of Uzbekistan, especially in the field of exploitation of underground resources. This article examines the politics, practices, and effects of Soviet policies on the extraction and exploitation of underground resources, including minerals, oil, and natural gas. It examines the economic, environmental and social aspects of this policy, highlighting the achievements and challenges faced during this period. By examining primary sources, historical documents, and scholarly literature, this study aims to provide important insights into how Soviet policies shaped Uzbekistan's resource management strategies and their enduring legacy.
