This study explores the socio-philosophical dimensions of how Uzbekistan’s contemporary information environment influences the formation of historical consciousness among youth. Rather than a neutral collection of past facts, historical consciousness is approached as an ideologically charged and value-laden construct shaped by selective memory, normative state narratives, and the epistemic frameworks of the media and education systems. The dominance of mono-narrative discourse, ideological filtration of historical data, and limited cultivation of critical thinking contribute to the emergence of mythologized or simulacral historical perceptions. The article underscores the methodological necessity of investigating historical consciousness as an axiological and discursive phenomenon within a broader socio-cognitive matrix.
