The article analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations of the harmony between national traditions and modern values in the process of forming legal literacy in the conditions of New Uzbekistan. The study interprets legal literacy not just as a set of normative knowledge, but as a complex competence that is manifested in the value system, beliefs and practical behavior of an individual. It is shown that the main elements of national traditions - mahalla, aksakol, andisha, respect and compromise - create spiritual and legal mechanisms of social control and balanced relations.
