The article analyzes the development of gender equality policy in the context of “New Uzbekistan”, its impact on social and economic spheres, as well as initiatives implemented by the state to ensure gender equality. The legal documents, state programs and strategies adopted by the Republic of Uzbekistan in recent years are considered as the main tools in strengthening gender equality. The article also examines the possibilities of achieving social justice and sustainable development in society by increasing gender equality.
