This scientific article highlights the complex situation in Uzbekistan during the Soviet era and the contributions of the prominent statesman and writer Sh.R. Rashidov to the development of the republic’s agriculture, industry, and culture. The article describes the development of dry lands in Mirzachul, Karshi, Jizzakh, and Surkhan-Sharobod during the years when Sh.R. Rashidov led the republic, the reconstruction of Tashkent after the earthquake, the construction of the Tashkent Metro, and the building of the “Istiqlol” Palace. The article also examines the role of the prominent statesman and writer Sh.R. Rashidov in Uzbekistan’s history and the importance of studying his legacy in educating young people in the spirit of patriotism.
