PROBLEMS OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND MEDICAL SERVICES IN THE JIZZAKH REGION DURING THE SOVIET PERIOD (1917-1980)

This article examines the issues of medical care of the Jizakh oasis in the Soviet period, in particular: medical services provided to the population, diseases that arose in the oasis, measures to eliminate them, existing problems, the creation of a health care system, the construction and maintenance of hospitals, and the provision of doctors to the country.
