This article examines the key features of the Middle East policy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), its development trends, and its current state. The analysis focuses on KSA’s efforts to enhance its leadership role in the Middle East region and to maintain a balance of power within the global political system.

The ongoing transformations in KSA’s regional foreign policy are closely linked to the “Vision 2030” program. In this regard, the article elucidates the main objectives of this program through a number of illustrative examples. The reasons behind the changes in KSA’s foreign policy positions, potential scenarios, and possible forecasts are analyzed on the basis of scholarly hypotheses and theoretical assumptions proposed by leading academics, followed by well-grounded conclusions.

Furthermore, the article explores the fundamental objectives of KSA’s regional foreign policy, the manifestations of its position in global politics, and substantiates the necessity of pursuing a renewed foreign policy approach in the context of escalating crises in the Middle East.
