This article examines the history, traditions, and current state of bowl-making (the production of flat-shaped ceramic vessels), one of the ancient forms of applied art in Uzbekistan. As an important branch of pottery, bowl-making is analyzed in terms of its place in folklore and religious narratives, its technological features, its main centers (Rishton, G‘ijduvon, and others), and its contemporary development. The article is based on archaeological findings, historical sources, and modern research.
