
THE ROLE OF YURI ALEXANDROVICH ZADNEPROVSKY IN THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF THE FERGONA VALLEY

The article analyzes the archaeological researches and scientific works of the Fergana Valley, a well-known Russian archaeologist and Ferganist scientist Yuri Alexandrovich Zadneprovsky, who studied the socio-political, economic and cultural life of the Fergana Valley from the point of view of historiography. That is, Zadneprovsky's contribution to the solution of the archaeological problems of the Fergana Valley is scientifically analyzed. Also, the article emphasizes the role of Zadneprovsky in the historiography of archaeological research of the Fergana Valley and the fact that his work is the main tool in further research. Memoirs of historians such as Ivanov, Masson, and Myakinnikov were used in the article.
