Abstract

In the practical work of an otolaryngologist, clinical cases are often observed when there is an acute need for plastic materials to restore the integrity of the tympanal and neotympanal membranes. For this purpose, surgeons often began to use the following materials: fascia of the temporal muscle, inguinal and inguinal membrane, periosteum, nasal septum and lung mucosa, vein wall, amniotic membrane, polymer implants, two- and three-layer grafts. One of the urgent problems of otiatrics of great social importance is to restore the integrity of the sound transmission system in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the middle ear. Chronic otitis media and some of its possible complications: paresis of the facial nerve, hearing loss, severe autogenic intracerebral complications, and obvious social disadaptation of patients occupy a leading position in the diseases of the ENT organs, while the surgical treatment methods used in the treatment of this pathology are always does not give a chance to achieve satisfactory results.
