EFFECTIVENESS OF IMPLEMENTING PRE-HOSPITAL CARE ALGORITHMS FOR ACUTE CEREBROVASCULAR ACCIDENTS
Abstract
The article presents the results of a prospective study aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of implementing algorithms for the pre-hospital diagnosis, routing, and treatment of patients with acute cerebrovascular accidents. The study included 122 patients, who were divided into a control group (n=60) and a main group (n=62). It was established that the use of the algorithms was associated with a statistically significant reduction in the time intervals for medical care, including the “symptom-to-call” interval (from 94.2±28.5 to 72.6±24.1 min), transportation time, and door-to-needle time (p<0.05–0.001). A significant improvement in the accuracy of stroke diagnosis was observed, from 76.7% to 91.9%, along with a reduction in the frequency of diagnostic errors from 23.3% to 8.1% (p<0.05). The findings demonstrate the high effectiveness of implementing pre-hospital care algorithms and support the feasibility of their widespread application in emergency medical services.
