In the context of the spread of COVID-19, it should be remembered that symptoms of unexplained encephalopathy, memory impairment, depression, apathy, peripheral nervous system and muscle damage should be interpreted as possible manifestations of the new coronavirus infection. Given the large number of people infected with MERS-CoV-2, a relative increase in the frequency of autoimmune lesions of the nervous system cannot be excluded in the near future (2, 3, 6).

Further research is needed in this direction. It is safe to say that the clinical presentation of neurological diseases and syndromes caused by coronavirus infection is consistent with our usual ideas, in contrast to the results of neuroimaging and laboratory methods of further investigation (4,5). Of course, additional studies on larger groups of patients are needed to finally understand the mechanisms of development of complications, their degree of association with COVID-19, and the development of schemes for their treatment and subsequent rehabilitation.

After the completion of the acute phase of COVID-19, the subsequent course of the disease and the dynamics of its clinical manifestations differ. Changes in the mental and physical components of health are closely related to each other, while cognitive impairment is largely independent of other manifestations of PCS. It can be assumed that there are differences in the mechanisms of formation of manifestations of PCS, which will ensure the stratification of patients and the implementation of personalized rehabilitation measures (2,3).

to study the clinical efficacy of the treatment of diarrhea in HIV-infected children in a comparative aspect.

261 HIV-infected children with infectious diarrhea under the age of 18 were divided into 2 groups. The main group included 118 children who received the traditional treatment regimen plus Saccharomyces boulardii 2 sachets 2 times a day for 5 days, and the control group included 143 children who received only traditional therapy.

Treatment of acute diarrhea in HIV-infected children with Saccharomyces boulardii preparations significantly reduces the daily amount and duration of diarrhea, which leads to a significant disappearance of dehydration symptoms, especially the severity of dehydration decreases by almost 2.4 times after the 5th day of treatment compared with the values before treatment ( P<0.05).

to study the state of intestinal microbiocenosis in diarrhea in HIV-infected children.

During the study, 876 children under the age of 18 were examined. Healthy children - 130 people, group 1 - 261 children with HIV infection with diarrhea, group 2 - 247 children with only diarrhea without HIV infection and group 3 - 238 children with HIV infection without diarrhea.

In HIV-infected children with acute diarrhea, there was a sharp decrease in obligate (Bacteroides spp., Bifidobacterium spp., Lactobacillus spp., E. coli lac+) and an increase in facultative intestinal microflora (E. coli lac-, Enterobacter spp., Enterococcus spp. ., Staphylococcus spp.). High values of Candida spp., Salmonella, Shigella, Cambilobacter, Yersinia were also recorded (P>0.05). This probably indicates the development of invasive diarrhea. High dysbiotic changes in acute infectious diarrhea in HIV-positive children require the introduction of drugs that restore intestinal microbiocenosis into their treatment regimen.
