Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a disease characterized by joint inflammation and an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). This study examines possible associations between cardiovascular disease and the utilisation of conventional disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) in patients with RA. MTX and SSZ with the latter to lesser extent were associated with a significant reduced risk of CVD than patients with RA who never used either of the drugs or combinations. This study suggests that the use of DMARD, in particular the use of MTX, results in potent suppression of joint inflammation. It also can reduce the development of atherosclerosis and associated CVDs.

This article discusses the features of venous cerebral dysfunction in patients with COPD according to rheoencephalography. It has been established that the main rheographic indicators characterizing pulse blood filling, tone and resistance of the vascular wall, the state of venous outflow and vascular resistance correlate well with the data obtained from ultrasound and angiographic studies, which increases the informative value of the REG method.

The aim of the study was to assess the nature of lesions and to identify risk factors of lesions in our group of patients with SLE. A retrospective review of charts and case histories in the Internal Medicine Department of the SamMU’s clinic was carried out on a group of 75 patients with SLE. 225 people were included in this study: 75 in the main group (cases) and 150 in the control group (healthy controls). The results show that the presence of neuropsychiatric manifestations is a significant risk factor for lesions. Other likely risk factors for lesions include younger age at diagnosis, more major organ damage, more exacerbations and serious infections.

In this regard, in the existing literature, we do not have in-depth otoneurological studies reflecting their dynamics in patients with pre-stroke cerebrovascular disorders (IOTsVB) against the background of hypertension, especially against the background of elimination of cochleovestibular disorders (CVD).
