This article is devoted to a comparative analysis of phraseological units containing melon and fruit components, which constitute essential parts of the "flora" concept in the German and Uzbek languages. The study highlights the role of this thematic group within the phraseological systems of both languages, their semantic scope, and aspects of their connection to the national mentality. The article reflects the commonalities and distinctive features of flora-component phraseology in the German and Uzbek languages, which belong to different language families.

This article examines euphemisms as a central element of contemporary communication, as they allow the speaker to take into account the social, cultural, and ethical expectations of the interlocutor. Despite the rapid development of the digital environment, direct language is often perceived as excessively harsh or emotionally burdensome. Consequently, there is an active trend toward softening expressions, which highlights the need for an in-depth analysis of euphemistic strategies. Furthermore, in the context of increasing political and informational sensitivity, euphemisms acquire a new functionality—they begin to serve as a tool for regulating public discourse. Thus, euphemization becomes not only a mechanism of interpersonal politeness but also a part of the ideological system of society.

The aim of this study is to investigate euphemisms as a complex linguistic phenomenon, to identify their structural features, communicative functions, and role in shaping social perception. We seek to reveal how euphemization specifically influences everyday, professional, and institutional interaction.

The representation of cultural traditions and the everyday lifestyle of the Central Asian region in comparison with urban culture in the original fantasy novel «Боги срединного мира» by G.A. Dolgaya and in its English translation «The Gods of the Middle World» by R. Thompson constitutes the object of this study. Based on contextual examples from both the original and the translation, the research analyzes domestic practices, social relations, temporal models, and forms of everyday behavior that reflect the distinction between the collective traditional lifestyle and the individualized urban way of life. The study demonstrates that the cultural layers of the text function not merely as a background element but as an important mechanism of artistic world-building and intercultural communication in both the original text and its translation.

This article is devoted to the issue of the linguopragmatic essence of analogy and calque in the translation process and their role in ensuring communicative translation. The study scientifically and theoretically analyzes the importance of analogy in ensuring substantive and functional compatibility, and the role of calque in preserving the conceptual structure of the original language units. The article reveals the features of the use of these transformations depending on the communicative situation and justifies their role in achieving pragmatic adequacy. The results of the study show that the appropriate and balanced use of analogy and calque is an important factor in ensuring the communicative effectiveness of translation.

This article examines dyslexia as a specific cognitive profile of language processing. The author comparatively analyzes neurological, psychological, and phonological theories of dyslexia and discusses its neurobiological foundations based on scientific research. Drawing on the works of Samuel T. Orton, Alexander Luria, Margaret Snowling, Stanislas Dehaene, and Sally Shaywitz, the study substantiates the relationship between dyslexia and phonological deficit. The article also addresses genetic factors, cognitive mechanisms, and the importance of early identification and pedagogical intervention. Dyslexia is interpreted not as a categorical disorder but as a cognitive spectrum.
